The world’s greatest basketball player Michael Jordan once said “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.” In my perspective giving up on something even after trying and trying is not an option, and this quote allows me to keep in mind that I success comes after failure and not vice versa. My name is Sergio R and I love to hang out with all my friends and when I’m not with friends I’m kicking a soccer ball around the field or looking for things to try that I haven’t.
I have many goals for freshman year for example I wish to get a 4.2 the whole year, get an A in English, and well to get into the habit of not procrastinating as much an as well to try anything possible to raise my grade if I see that it has dropped. Another is to make some real friends that I didn’t know last year because I don’t want to be walking through the halls alone for the next four years. I also want to learn more moves, have the confidence to shoot the ball when I confront the goal keeper even after I have missed various times instead of wimping out and giving a pass, also to have better touch of the ball so VHS’s Soccer team can school all the other schools, including BHS.
My life’s goals would probably put you to sleep if I named all of them so the most important ones would be successfully graduating from MIT as a robotics engineer and can build robotic arms and legs that people with disabilities can use. I also hope that I get married and raise a family. Oh and I also want to win the calottery, or the mega million that way I can buy a car of my choice and give a good amount of money to people who really need it. I want to live a pleasant life and die knowing that I helped many people who were either poor, sick or disabled and that I have passed on a message that many people will follow.
